Scholarship Program

At Touched by Type 1, we are committed to empowering students with Type 1 Diabetes to chase their dreams without barriers. This scholarship program goes beyond mere financial aid — it's about creating a supportive community.

Join us in elevating awareness and support for the Type 1 community. By spreading the word and getting involved, you can help us make a significant impact.

Touched by Type 1 Scholarship Application

At Touched by Type 1, we believe that living with Type 1 Diabetes should never be a barrier to pursuing higher education and achieving your dreams. Our scholarship program is designed to support and empower students who demonstrate resilience, leadership, and a commitment to making a difference.

Scholarship Requirements: 

  1. Be a high school senior graduating in 2025

  2. Live with Type 1 Diabetes

  3. Be a U.S citizen or permanent resident

  4. Volunteer 25 hours with Touched by Type 1 between August 2024 - May 2025

  5. Stay involved as an Ambassador in our Students with Diabetes program

What To Expect:

  • Starting in the spring of 2025, we will award five $1,000 scholarships to students committed to making a difference.

  • Scholarship recipients will connect with each other starting in August 2025.

  • Monthly virtual meetings will allow students to discuss Type 1 Diabetes-related topics.

  • Students will contribute to the Touched by Type 1 community.
