Preparing for a Hurricane with Type 1 Diabetes

What should you prepare when you or someone you care for has #T1D?

- Charge all of your devices incase of a power outage!

- Keep your insulin in a safe and cool place, or at least room temperature.

-Make sure to stock up on all your supplies and more.. don't forget those low snacks!

-Lastly keep all your supplies in one place! If you need to evacuate for an emergency you want to be prepared with all of your medications and supplies.

At its core, proper type 1 diabetes management is composed of a handful of elements: blood glucose control and insulin management, exercise, nutrition and support. Knowing first-hand the intricacies of living with Type 1 Diabetes, the team at Touched by Type 1 has created the D-Box.
